Last weekend I was talking with a good friend who (being white) expressed feelings that she truly had the soul of a black women. Like there's this powerful black women just waiting to emerge from underneath her freckly skin. Without thinking yesterday I created this art piece, as a manifestation or homage of sorts to our conversation.
Really we all have something or someone deep inside waiting to break free.
