Ever wonder the origin of the peace sign? Well I did, and whenever I have an inquiry I seek the truth! With no further ado let me disclose the facts!!!
The internationally recognized symbol for peace (☮) was originally designed for the British nuclear disarmament movement by Gerald Holtom in 1958. The symbol is a combination of the semaphore signals for the letters "N" and "D," standing for "nuclear disarmament". (Observe images below)
(I could go into further depth on the subject but I don’t care to)
"New York I love you, but you're bringin' me down"
I finally got my butt to NY this weekend. Had a great time schmoozing it up with some wonderful friends. There's nothing quite like dancing the night away to international tunes, passing out on the floor, and waking up mid afternoon for bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Marys.
And so now here I am, somehow back on Zapora Strange, promising not to leave you again (yet not fully understanding my own lack of commitment and consistency...blame it on my creative mind)
